The Bees are an ambitious writing group committed to spreading the understanding and enjoyment of mathematical techniques. Their popular-audience pieces have been accepted by Cambridge University’s award-winning Plus magazine and the historic Mathematical Association’s Mathematics in School journal,  their prize-winning work has appeared in the IMA’s flagship Mathematics Today whilst their other research is published in the Applied Probability Trust’s renowned Mathematical Scientist journal.

Co-founders of The Bees, Andrew Irving and Ebrahim Patel met as fellow PhD students at the University of Manchester and they would love to hear from anyone who wants to work with them!
